How Ukraine Launches Deep Drone Strikes Inside Russia

Why can Ukraine’s drones fly so far into Russian territory? The main reason is the use of new long-range drones developed in Ukraine.

These drones are not like the small ones used for fun. They work more like small planes, but without a pilot. They are controlled from far away and built to travel long distances.

In March 2025, President Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had flown a drone up to 3,000 kilometers. That’s a big achievement.

One of the newest drones is the Falcon-300. It’s made in Ukraine and is ready to be used. It can fly about 3,300 kilometers, or around 2,050 miles. It can carry up to 300 kilograms (660 pounds) and reach heights of 9.1 kilometers (30,000 feet).

Because of drones like this, Ukraine can now hit targets deep inside Russia. Even faraway places like an oil refinery in Omsk could be attacked. Big cities like Moscow are also within reach.

So how has Ukraine managed to strike back? It’s because of these advanced drones that can fly far, carry heavy loads and reach high altitudes. With this new technology, Ukraine can hit back while staying far from the front lines.
