Why Did the Russian Military Accept the Son of a CIA Deputy Director to Fight in Ukraine?

Michael Gloss went to Moscow in 2023. What people did not expect was that his father was an alleged key CIA officer from the U.S.

As soon as he got there a video was released of Michael laughing as he talked about sleeping at a train station. Some people began to wonder if he was okay or possibly homeless.

Soon after he tried to join the Russian army to fight in Ukraine. At first they told him to come back the next day since it was Sunday. He returned and was allowed to join.

People were shocked. Why would the Russian army accept someone whose father worked for the CIA? Maybe the army is now taking almost anyone willing to fight.

After joining the military Michael was quickly sent to the front lines of the Ukraine war.

Sadly his story ended there. News reports say he was killed by artillery fire in April 2024.

It’s surprising he was accepted at all. And once he had seen what was really going on in Ukraine it’s very unlikely Russia would have let him leave. He was stuck.
