Inside Russian Minds: How Ordinary Citizens View the War in Ukraine
There were many Russians who feel as if they must support the war. They can’t help seeing it as something that is bigger and more significant.
But there are online chats where Russians and Ukrainians talk to each other. A Russian man shared his true thoughts about war in one chat.
In response the answer states that Russians more often than not drunk in many of these chats say terrible things to Ukrainians. And some of them are coming to Ukraine simply to get paid.
The Russians are told by the government to hurt and even kill the Ukrainians when some Russians believe this is the right thing to do. Some have even taken homes that were owned by Ukrainian families either killed or forced to flee.
The answer tells how President Putin confused people so that a lot of Russians don't know what is White or Black. It even compares this to how some Germans followed the Nazis during World War Two.
That is a very harsh view. It reports that many ordinary Russians do support the war and do not see anything wrong with it.
And it's really sad and divided how things are today.
