Has the India-Pakistan War Begun?

Last month a deadly attack in Pahalgam in Indian controlled Kashmir emphasized tensions between India and Pakistan that have worsened since. India blamed groups from Pakistan for the attack on many tourists. But relations soon tensed after Pakistan denied any role.

On May 6 and 7, India attacked areas in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir planning what it termed "Operation Sindoor" to launch missiles. It (India) said it was seeking to hit terrorist camps linked to the Pahalgam attack.

Pakistan said however that the missiles had struck towns and villages including a mosque. Many people were wounded and a child was killed. It was an act of war Pakistani leaders said.

Pakistan’s military said in response it had shot down Indian jets. In addition, gunfire heavy across the Line of Control was reported. India confessed to having a loss as well.

This isn’t just a border clash; it’s a very serious situation. In fact some airports had even been closed as a safety measure. It’s not a full war yet but plenty of people on both sides are worried. All hope this cools soon with the risk getting worse by the day.
